Our National events may begin as early as 9 am on the first scheduled day with solos, duets and trios. Groups may begin as early as the morning of the second day of Nationals. The World Series of Dance (our group showdown) will be split into in the Little League and National League World Series and American League World Series if there are enough entries to support this. The events will take place on the 2nd to last day and last day of Nationals and may go as late as 11:00 PM. Travel arrangements for departure should not be scheduled until the next morning. In the unlikely event that there are not enough entries to support a 6 day national show, the last day will be a free day.
REGISTRATION
Our easy registration makes entering a breeze. You may simply register online through our online registration system, moving the entries from your regional event to the national event.
At Nationals, if the size of the show requires it, dancers may be limited to 2 solos. In these instances, Hall of Fame will notify studios with this information prior to the event. Otherwise, soloists may compete up to 3 solos, as in regionals.
You MUST enter, with payment, by 30 days prior to the first day of the National event.
AGE DIVISION
All dancers will compete as the same age they were at their regional competition, with ages calculated as of January 1, 2025, and all rules in place at the regional competition will apply for the National event. AGES
Little League : 6 years old and under
Future Hall of Famer : 7 and 8 years old
Junior : 9 - 11 years old
Teen : 12 - 14 years old
Senior : 15 - 18 years old
19+ : 19 years old and above
*Should your roster of dancers change in any way, you must recalculate the ages based upon the new average age. Please note roster and age changes when you send in your Nationals entries. You do NOT have to pay an additional charge if you change categories.
LEAGUE CLASSIFICATION
American and National Leagues
As you know, studios selected the league placement for their routines prior to their regional event. However, any routine scoring less than 280.5 points at a regional event may move down to National League for Nationals only by contacting the office at registration@halloffamedance.com. This is subject to approval. Please be extra careful with your league placement if you are attending a national event.
Entries in the Rookie League are not eligible for the Solo & Duet/Trio Showdown or the World Series of Dance.
ALL STAR TEAM
Studios attending Nationals may nominate two performers in each Junior, Teen, and Senior age division to participate in the All-Star team at Nationals. Studios attending Nationals will be sent a form to provide their nominations. All-Star team members will perform in the All-Star performance at Nationals, which will be choreographed by top industry professionals.
SOLO AND DUET/TRIO SHOWDOWN
The 5 highest scoring soloists and 3 highest scoring duet/trios in all age divisions in both the American and National league will re-compete in the Hall of Fame Solo and Duet/Trio Showdown. Placements for the five highest scoring solos and three highest scoring duet/trios will not be announced during the first round of competition. Instead, those routines will re-compete in the Solo & Duet/Trio Showdown where they will compete for the National Championship and the top placements will be determined. There may be more than 5 soloists and more than 3 duet/trios that qualify for the Solo & Duet/Trio Showdown due to ties.
There must be more than 1 routine in each category in order to compete in the solo and duet/trio showdown.
Duet/Trios must consist of at least one differing dancer in order for two duet/trios from the same studio to be eligible for the showdown.
If there are more than 5 American League male soloists in an age category, the top 3 male soloists will compete in a separate Male solo showdown.
If there is less than 20 Little League (6 and under) soloists, the 3 highest scoring soloists will qualify for the Solo & Duet/Trio Showdown. If there are 20 or more little league soloists, the 5 highest scoring soloists will qualify for the Solo & Duet/Trio Showdown.
PRODUCTION CHALLENGE
At Nationals, all productions will compete in the Production Challenge, which will take place on the final day of Nationals after the final large group/line performance that day. The Production Challenge will have a National League and an American League champion, and productions will not be eligible for the World Series of Dance.
There must be at least 3 productions in each age category/league (2 studios or more) in order to compete in the Production Challenge. If there are less than 3 productions, the routines will compete with the other lines and be eligible for the World Series of Dance. For example, if there are 8 American League productions and 2 National League productions, the 8 American League productions will compete in the Production Challenge, and the 2 National League productions will compete with the other National League lines.
Cash Awards will be given to the Production Challenge winners.
WORLD SERIES OF DANCE
The World Series will be split into 2 events: The National League World Series & The American League World Series, which will occur on two separate nights (the last two nights of Nationals). If the entry count in either league doesn't support two separate World Series, the World Series will be combined as in past seasons.
If they meet the qualification requirements, the top five small groups and the top five large groups in the Little League, Future Hall of Famer, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions, in both the American and National leagues, will recompete in the World Series of dance on the second-to-last or last day of Nationals. If there are at least 5 lines in the category, the top 3 lines in the Little League, Future Hall of Famer, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions, in both the American and National leagues, will recompete in the World Series of Dance on the second-to-last or last day of Nationals. More detailed qualification requirements are listed below.
Excluding Productions that are in the Production Challenge, if there are 5 or more lines from 3 or more studios in an age category and division, then the top 3 lines will re-compete in the World Series of Dance on the last day of Nationals. If there are 20 or more lines in any age category and division, excluding productions in the production challenge, the 5 highest scoring lines will qualify for the World Series of Dance. Otherwise, the lines will be combined with the large groups for the World Series of Dance.
Additional routines in each World Series category are possible if there are ties. Additional cash prizes and awards will be awarded to the top three placements in each section if there are five or more routines in that section. Cash prizes and awards will be awarded to the top two placements if there are four routines in that section and to the top place only if there are three or less routines in that section.
A studio can only have more than one group in a particular age division and league if the additional group is comprised of completely different dancers. Otherwise, only the highest scoring group from a studio may participate in each section.
Each age category and league will only be divided into small groups and large group/lines for the World Series if there are ten small groups and ten large groups/lines in that specific age category and league. If there are less than ten small groups OR ten large group/lines, the small groups, large groups, and lines will be combined for the World Series as in past years. Only one group from each studio will be eligible for that section of the World Series, unless the additional group is comprised of completely different dancers. For example, if there are ten Senior National League small groups, three Senior National League large groups, and 1 Senior National League Line, the Senior National League World Series category would consist of the top five highest scoring Senior National League groups from the small groups, large groups, AND lines, as in past years. Each studio would only have one group in the Senior National League World Series, unless the additional group is made-up of entirely different dancers.
Routines that qualify for the World Series of Dance may not substitute or replace dancers with dancers that did not dance in the qualifying routine during the first round of competition. If a routine cannot compete at the World Series with the exact same dancers as it competed with in the first round due to dancer injury or other dancer emergency, the dance may compete in the World Series with fewer dancers than it did in the first round as long as it doesn't change the size category of the group (that is, change it from a large group to a small group, etc.)
In the rare event that two groups from the same studio receive an identical score and therefore tie for inclusion in the World Series, the studio director may choose which group is the in World Series.
CASH AWARDS
Cash prizes will be awarded to the World Series winners, Showdown winners, and National Champions.
PERFORMANCE TIMES
All routines must be prepared to perform 75 minutes prior to their scheduled performance time. The performance order will take precedence over the scheduled time, so please be prepared to perform early. Hall of Fame reserves the right to alter the performance order for the benefit of the show.
